Hugs

I wrote in my ezine the other day about the importance of hugs. It seems that research shows that we need at least 4 hugs per day in order to survive! Amazing but true! Virgina Satir, noted psychotherapist, did the research many years ago and came up with this: "Daily Hug Prescription" Daily - 4 hugs for survival 8 hugs for maintenance 12 hugs for growth How many hugs a day do you get? How many do you give? Perhaps we should include hugging in our random acts of kindness! There are so many single people these days of all ages which includes a large elderly population who rarely, if ever get a hug. Maybe ALF's, retirement and nursing homes should include hugging in their daily activities !!!! What a great energy boost! And I think that all world leaders should hug before and after they have their talks and meetings! Wouldn't that be cool? Just my thoughts! What are yours??? ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~ another "little" thought: "You have to believe in yourself when no one else does. That's what makes YOU a winner." - Venus Williams, tennis champion ~~~~~~~ Make a great life! Margaret
