Change

I recently wrote in my email newsletter that it is time to recognize that if you want change in this world then you need to make the effort to change yourself. As Gandhi said, "You must be the change you want to see in the world." If there is one thing I have learned in my life, it is this: I cannot change anyone else! But I can do small things, say encouraging words that may have the effect that initiates and encourages someone else to make changes. A couple of thoughts for you to ponder: Believe that you can make a difference. - just remember how Mother Teresa approached her work, helping one person at a time and just look at the great things she did. Change can be messy! - Don't wait for things in your life to be perfect - remember that perfection is only perception! "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." - Teddy Roosevelt. "All meaningful and lasting change starts first in your imagination and then works its way out. Imagination is more important than knowledge." - Albert Einstein Choice - there is always a choice about everything you do. You may not particularly like the choices, but there is always a choice. Choose to start somewhere! You must make changes. Again, you can't change others; you can only change yourself. And when you change, everything changes - in doing so, YOU can be the change you want to see in the world. Don't wait for others, start today! Even if it is only taking a few moments to send love and healing energy to the world, just allow it to ripple out from your heart to your community and across the country and the world; especially the areas that have so much strife! Just think what an impact that would make if everyone did that at least once a day! Make a choice today to make a change! Sending you loving and healing energy! Margaret
